Our 8-week training program designed for experienced backpackers who have an upcoming thru-hike of more than 30 miles overall. This intense training program is only suited for experienced backpackers, who plan on travelling 10+ miles each day during their trek, and can afford to fully commit to utilizing this training approach as their sole form of exercise for the next 2 months. The program focuses on targeting frequently-used hiking muscles, a gradual approach to adding weight to your hikes, prioritizes rest and recovery, and builds cardio fitness through hiking. Only experienced backpackers who have logged multiple shorter thru-hikes should adopt this program.
